Green sea urchins for pet Hermit Crab’s and isopods.

🌿 Our Ingredients. Our Experience. Our Promise.

**Exceptional nutrition begins with exceptional ingredients.**

We believe hermit crabs deserve more than ordinary food. Every meal and oil we create is thoughtfully made with quality, nutrition, and the well-being of these remarkable little animals in mind.

We cultivate a **1,500-square-foot organic garden**, growing and harvesting many of our own ingredients. We choose organic ingredients whenever possible and work with trusted farms and suppliers for the ingredients we cannot grow ourselves. Our proteins are **fresh cooked and sourced from trusted, non-GMO farms**.

While we do use some freeze-dried ingredients when appropriate, **our meals are not simply made from freeze-dried foods**. Ingredients are carefully selected and, when needed, cooked, dehydrated, prepared, and blended in small batches. Our oils are made with the same attention to ingredient quality and thoughtful preparation.

Our experience matters, too. I have been a **head cook since 1997** and a **professional worm farmer since 2002**. We also produce our own worm castings using **four species of worms**, bringing years of hands-on experience with food, gardening, and natural husbandry into what we create.

We follow the **safe food list and research from Crab Street Journal** and value the research behind their recommendations as part of our approach to responsible hermit crab nutrition.

❤️ Why We Put So Much into It

We don't believe quality should be an afterthought. From ingredients grown in our own garden to carefully prepared proteins and small-batch meals, we take pride in knowing what goes into the foods we offer.

**Your hermit crab may be small, but their nutrition matters.** We believe the quality of their food should reflect the love and care you have for them.

📦 Simple Combined Shipping

We make ordering easier with **combined shipping**. Add multiple eligible items to your cart and your shipping charge remains a **one-time fee** rather than increasing with every additional item.

Today, many of the ingredients in my mixes start right in my 1,500 square foot garden. Leaves, herbs, flowers, and other goodies are grown the old-fashioned way: organically, carefully, and never sprayed with anything sketchy. If it wouldn’t meet my chef standards, it doesn’t make it into your crabitat. I also thoughtfully source certain ingredients from high-quality, sustainable herb and tea shops when needed.

Everything is dehydrated low and slow to naturally preserve nutrients. Vegetables that contain oxalates are cooked prior to dehydration to ensure the safety and long-term health of both hermit crabs and isopods.

Please note: Our farm processes products in an environment where nuts and peanuts are present. At Feed Your Crabs, we've been caring for hermit crabs since 1997. Every recipe is one of our own original creations, thoughtfully handcrafted using years of research and trusted safe food knowledge. We never use bioengineered ingredients in our foods.

Many of our fruits and vegetables are grown organically in our garden or sourced from trusted farms. We carefully prepare every ingredient in a clean workspace. Please note that our foods are made in an environment that may contain nuts, seeds, and fish.

Thank you for choosing compassion, research, and better care for these amazing little creatures. Together, we can make a difference—one crab at a time.
